Pa and his Engrish 2

I think Pa must be speaking too much Mandarin these days, because he's been using his Engrish for 2 days in a row!

#1 - Pa has been terribly interested in music recently, and wanted to learn the guitar and saxophone. The guitar is a better choice for a beginner like him of course, so we went down to Bras Basah Complex yesterday to get a guitar.

Pa, holding up a guitar: "I'll ride a Allison and sling this on my back."
Mom: "What did he say?!"
Me: "He said he'll ride a Harley Davidson and sling that guitar on his back."
Mom: *rolls eyes*

#2 - Just now we had bobo-chacha for dessert after dinner. I don't really like bobo-chacha, and haven't ate it for very long, so I was quite surprised that it had agar-like cubes inside the coconut milk.

Me: "What's this?"
Mom: "It's like chewy agar..."
Pa: "It's tropicana."
Mom: "What did he say?!"
Me: "It's tapioca right?!"
Pa: "Ah yes, haven't been using that word for very long."
Me: "Wahahahahahaha!!!"
